News: 2 seriously injured in 3-vehicle crash in Kansas City intersection
KANSAS CITY, MO – Two people were seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Emanuel Cleaver II Blvd. and Prospect Ave. on Thursday night.
According to KSHB, a red Toyota Corolla was traveling at a high rate of speed heading south on Prospect Ave. when it rear-ended a grey Honda CRV at the intersection of Emanuel Cleaver II Blvd. around 9:45 p.m. The impact caused the Toyota to slide, turn, and hit a concrete barrier. After hitting the barrier the Toyota continued south on Prospect Ave. and hit a parked Chevrolet Equinox.
Local authorities extracted two people from the Toyota. Both were transported to a local hospital for serious injuries.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
