News: Teenage bicyclist killed in De Soto intersection collision

DE SOTO, MO – A 13-year-old female bicyclist was killed after hitting the trailer of a pickup truck at the intersection of Lexington Ave. and Wea St. on Friday night.

KSHB reports the teenage bicyclist was traveling south on Wea St. when she failed to stop at the stop sign at Lexington Ave. She struck the trailer of a truck around 6 p.m.

The teenager was transported via helicopter to a local hospital where she passed away.

Local authorities report the pickup driver is cooperating with the investigation and do not suspect foul play.
