News: 52-year-old Lee’s Summit woman injured in NB I-470 crash
LEE’S SUMMIT, MO – A 52-year-old Lee’s Summit woman was injured in a three-vehicle crash on NB I-470 on Wednesday evening.
A 2017 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Marry E. Wallace, was traveling on NB I-470 when it slowed for traffic, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol. A 2020 Ford Box Truck, driven by 33-year-old Barbra L. Devries, rear-ended the Chevrolet. MSHP reports a 2013 Dodge Dart, driven by 25-year-old Scott J. Holder, was traveling behind the Ford and swerved to miss it. This action caused the Dodge to strike the Chevrolet.
The accident occurred at mile marker 11.2 on I-470 around 5:22 p.m.
Wallace was transported to St. Lukes East for minor injuries.
All three drivers were wearing seat belts.
The Dodge sustained moderate damages and both the Chevrolet and Ford sustained minor damages.
