News: 17-year-old driver injured in overturned-vehicle crash in Cass County

CASS COUNTY, MO – A 17-year-old Pleasant Hill driver sustained moderate injuries in a crash on Smart Rd. on Thursday afternoon.

A 17-year-old female driver was traveling north on Smart Rd. in a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer when the vehicle traveled off the road, Missouri State Highway Patrol reports. The Chevrolet hit an embankment and overturned near Hereford Rd. around 2 p.m.

MSHP reports the teenage driver was transported to Research Medical Center. She was wearing a seat belt.

The Chevrolet was totaled.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
