News: Head on collision kills driver on Eisenhower Road

KANSAS CITY, MO. – A two-vehicle crash on Eisenhower Road killed one of the drivers involved on Sunday night, KSHB reports.

The collision occurred close to 9 p.m. at 18312 Eisenhower Road.

According the Kansas Highway Patrol, an eastbound Jeep Renegade crossed into oncoming traffic.

The Jeep was reported to be travelling at high speed when it crashed into a 2012 Suzuki.

Both vehicles ended up together in a ditch off the roadway.

40-year-old Eric Lee Chappell of Leavenworth, the driver of the Suzuki, was killed at the scene.
