News: Head-on crash kills motorcyclist in Johnson County

JOHNSON COUNTY, MO – A motorcyclist was killed in a head-on collision on Saturday near Pittsville, Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.

The incident occurred at around 4:37 p.m. south of NW 450 on Route W when a Chevrolet pickup crashed head-on into a Harley Davidson motorcycle.

The Chevrolet, driven by 43-year-old Christopher Daniel, was reportedly making a left turn and failed to observe the right of way and struck the Harley Davidson head-on.

The motorcyclist, identified as Holden resident 23-year-old Eric Thomason, was airlifted to Centerpoint Hospital. They were later pronounced dead.

No other injuries are reported in the incident.
