News: Hit-and-run hospitalizes motorcyclist on 1-70

KANSAS CITY, MO – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after getting rear-ended in a crash on I-70 Wednesday, according to KMBC.

Police report that a Buick Encore struck the rear of a Honda Goldwing motorcycle on I-70 near The Paseo.

The Goldwing then collided into a concrete divider, throwing the driver from the motorcycle.

The unidentified motorcyclist was hospitalized and suffered life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Encore reportedly stopped their vehicle initially only to flee the scene moments later. They were located and apprehended shortly. Investigators believe impairment may be involved in the crash.
