News: Stolen motorcycle crash hospitalizes two on Mexico City Avenue

KANSAS CITY, MO – The driver and passenger of a stolen motorcycle were hospitalized after crashing into another vehicle on Mexico Avenue on Saturday, FOX4KC reports.

Authorities report that at close to 3:50 a.m. a Chevrolet Z71 pickup crashed into a Tao Motors motorcycle. The motorcycle’s driver had reportedly run the red light westbound on Mexico City Avenue into the path of the truck.

The two occupants of the motorcycle were thrown from the vehicle in the impact. Both were taken to area hospitals.

The driver was treated for life-threatening injuries while the passenger sustained what are reported to be serious injuries.

No other injuries were reported in the incident.
