News: Two children, two adults injured in crash on US-40

JACKSON COUNTY, MO – An accident on US 40 and Powell Avenue resulted in minor injuries for two children and one adult and seriously wounded one man Tuesday morning, KMZU reports.

At close to 1:12 a.m., a driver overcorrected her vehicle, causing the car to leave the road and crash into several trees.

The driver, identified as 30-year-old Independence resident Brittany Dominguez, was hospitalized along with two children, ages 5 and 9. All were treated for minor injuries.

Another passenger identified as Blue Springs’ Michael W. Hooper, 35, was seriously injured.
