News: Trucker hospitalized after crash on I-70 near Bates City

LAFAYETTE COUNTY, MO – A man was taken to the hospital with minor injuries late Thursday night on I-70 near Bates City, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The wreck occurred near 11:55 p.m. when the driver of a westbound Freightliner Cascadia drifted off the road onto the right side embankment. The vehicle was then stuck and had to be towed from the scene.

The driver, identified as 42-year-old Mahamed Bille of Minneapolis, was taken to Centerpoint Hospital.

No details on what led up to the accident have been reported.
