News: Flaming five-car pile-up injures three, causes delays on I-435

KANSAS CITY, MO – A fiery crash involving five vehicles on I-435 hospitalized three people Tuesday morning, KCTV 5 reports.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:25 a.m. close to the 87th Street exit.

The pileup included five cars, some of which caught fire and billowed smoke from the scene.

The Kansas City Fire Department confirms that three people were removed from the crash and hospitalized.

In addition to the injuries, traffic delays along both sides of the highway were delayed for hours as responders worked to clear the scene.
