News: Police chase ends in wrong-way crash on I-70

KANSAS CITY, MO – A head-on crash after a run from police left one person in critical condition and another injured on I-70 this week.

KSHB reports that the crash involved a Fiat 500 that was failing to comply with attempts by police to pull the vehicle over.

The vehicle evaded police by driving westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-70.

The Fiat then struck a Toyota Solara head-on.  Both occupants of the Fiat were hospitalized, with the passenger in critical condition.

The driver of the Fiat sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

Police suspect that the driver of the Fiat may have been impaired at the time of the crash. No charges are mentioned in the report.
