News: Man hospitalized after spike strip ends police chase in Carroll County

CARROLL COUNTY, MO – A man was seriously injured and now faces multiple charges after a rollover crash while evading police on US 24 on Friday afternoon.

KCHI reports that Aaron Dayton, 31, failed to stop for police who pursued him westbound on US 24 until deploying a spike strip near Carroll County 287.

Dayton reportedly struck the spike strip, lost control of the vehicle, and struck a roadside ditch, flipping the vehicle onto its roof.

Responders transported Dayton to an area hospital with serious injuries.

Dayton has been charged with DWI, drug possession, and driving with a revoked license.
