News: Driver killed after wrong way driving, collision, and rollover on Holmes Road
KANSAS CITY, MO – A rollover crash killed one driver on Friday night in South Kansas City after their vehicle struck another car and plowed through the yards of several homes.
The Kansas City Star reports the crash took place at approximately 9:40 p.m., when responders arrived to a collision close to the intersection of 123rd and Holmes.
The driver of a Honda Civic was reportedly driving in the opposite lane and struck a Subaru Legacy. The Civic then left the roadway and drove through the yards of several homes.
The vehicle at some point rolled over and came to rest on its passenger side. Responders declared the driver dead at the scene.
Excessive speed is said to have been a contributing factor leading up to the crash.
