News: Motorcycle crash kills driver, hospitalizes passenger in Cole County

COLE COUNTY, MO – A motorcyclist was killed and his passenger was injured on Saturday after the vehicle went airborne, throwing both occupants.

The St. Joseph Post reports the accident occurred close to 2:30 p.m. on Route B near Osage Bend Road when a Harley Davidson FLTRXS hit a ditch, forcing the vehicle to lift off the ground.

The driver, 52-year-old-William Nichols, was killed in the accident. His passenger, 51-year-old Melinda Swanson, was airlifted to University Hospital.
