News: Fatality after Jeep rollover crash ejects driver on I-70 in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO – A driver was killed on Interstate 70 in a rollover crash that ejected the victim from the vehicle on Friday morning.

The Kansas City Star reports the accident happened near 23rd Street at close to 7:30 a.m. when the driver of a westbound Jeep Liberty lost control of the vehicle.

The vehicle was reportedly travelling at a high rate of speed and crashed into a concrete median, forcing the vehicle to flip and land on its roof. The unnamed driver was ejected from the vehicle in the collision.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where they were later said to have died from their injuries.

No one else was injured in the accident.

Responders took nearly one and a half hours to clear the scene.
