News: Fatality crash kills one after driver runs red light on Van Brunt Boulevard

KANSAS CITY, MO – A driver was killed after running a red light and being struck by another driver in Kansas City Tuesday night, according to KSHB.

The accident occurred close to 9:30 p.m. when a Chevrolet Tahoe travelling on Van Brunt Boulevard sped through the red light at East 31st Street and was struck by a Toyota Avalon.

The Chevrolet’s driver was partially ejected when the vehicle overturned from the impact of the crash.

They were declared dead at the scene by responders.

No other injuries were reported in the accident.
