News: Woman killed in crash with semi after bypassing stop sign near Sedalia

KANSAS CITY, MO – One woman was killed and another woman was seriously injured in an accident near Sedalia on Tuesday, KSHB reports.

The crash occurred close to 10:00 p.m. on Mo. 127 and Highway Y when a GMC Acadia failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by a Mack Pinnacle semi truck.

Responders declared the driver of the Acadia, 84-year-old Virginia Taylor, dead at the scene.

The driver of the semi sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to the hospital.
