News: One teenager killed, two more hurt after crash on US 69 near Winston
DAVIESS COUNTY, MO – A crash killed one teenager from Gallatin and hospitalized two others on US 69 in Daviess County Wednesday night, MSHP reports.
The wreck occurred at approximately 8:56 p.m. when the driver of a Honda CRV turned right from Route BB onto northbound US 69 without stopping at the stop sign, entering the path of a northbound Chevrolet Silverado.
The Silverado struck the CRV, forcing the CRB to overturn and come to rest upside down.
The fatality was an 18-year-old male driving the CRV. The two injuries were passengers in the CRV, males aged 14 and 17. The 14-year old sustained serious injuries and was taken first to Cameron Regional Medical Center before being airlifted to Children’s Mercy. The 17-year-old was hospitalized at Cameron Regional and treated for moderate injuries.
The driver of the Silverado was reportedly uninjured.
Both vehicles were considered total losses.
