News: Failure to yield results in hospitalization for driver in Cass County

CASS COUNTY, MO – A woman was injured after T-boning a vehicle in Cass County on Thursday morning, according to KMZU.

The accident took place close to 7:33 a.m. near the intersection of MO-BB and 175th Street when Julie A. Shumate of Pleasant Hill, 52, was travelling westbound on 175th Street. She struck the southbound vehicle of Anthony Smith of Harrisonville, 47, after failing to yield.

Shumate was hospitalized at Lees Summit Medical center with moderate injuries.

No other injuries are described in the report.
