News: Two-car crash on Troost Ave sends three people to hospital

KANSAS CITY, MO – A two-car crash involving one vehicle driving at excessive high speeds resulted in three people being hospitalized on Saturday night, reports KSHB.

The crash occurred close to 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of East 77th and Troost Avenue when a northbound Chevrolet Caprice travelling faster than 100 mph crashed into a Hyundai turning into the intersection.

The driver of the Hyundai sustained life-threatening injuries after being thrown from the vehicle. They were transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Two occupants from the Chrysler had gotten away in another vehicle before responders had reached the scene. They were discovered to have gone to an area hospital, where the passenger and seriously injured driver both received treatment.

While the cost of injuries suffered in a car accident may be the most overwhelming at first, it is important to consider all the other losses that can result in an accident.
