News: Crash after bypassed red light injures four on MO-1, impairment possible factor
KANSAS CITY, MO – Four people were injured Sunday night in a two-vehicle crash in the Northland area that police suspect may involve impairment.
According to The Kansas City Star, the accident took place close to 7:15 p.m. where Northeast 80th Street crosses Missouri 1. A Toyota Rav 4 eastbound on 80th street reportedly ran a red light and struck a northbound Ford Fusion.
The Rav 4’s driver was hospitalized with critical injuries.
The driver of the Fusion and two passengers in the vehicle, including one infant, all incurred minor injuries. It is unreported if any of these injuries required hospitalization.
