News: Three-car pileup involving KCK patrol car results in minor injuries, traffic interruptions on I-70

KANSAS CITY, MO – A three-way accident involving a police patrol car caused minor injuries and delays on Interstate 70 Wednesday morning, according to WSHB.

The accident occurred close to 3:00 a.m. near Interstate 635 when a westbound Chevy Malibu struck a barrier wall after its driver lost control. The Malibu continued back onto the road to hit a marked patrol car, which then struck the barrier wall before being struck by a third vehicle.

It is reported by Kansas Turnpike Authority that “all involved” were hospitalized with minor injuries. It is unknown if this includes any passengers.

The cause of the initial crash is unreported at this time.
