News: Hit-and-run driver flees two crashes, leaving one dead and two injured in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO – A hit-and-run victim was killed by a driver fleeing from an earlier accident in Kansas City on Thursday night, reports the Kansas City Star.

The series of events began close to 11:47 p.m. at 19th Street and Baltimore Avenue where a Chevrolet Tahoe had crashed into a Subaru Outback and fled the scene.

The driver fled east on Truman road and then struck a southbound PT Cruiser at the intersection of Truman Road and Main Street. That crash forced the Cruiser to collide with a Jeep Wrangler in the oncoming lane.

The Tahoe then fled the scene of this second collision.

The fatality victim was the unnamed driver of the Cruiser, who was pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital.

Responders transported a single passenger from both the Cruiser and the Jeep to the hospital with injuries as well.
