News: Two-year-old and four others hospitalized in crash after bypassed stop sign near Branson
TANEY COUNTY, MO – Five people including a two-year-old were hospitalized after a two-car collision near Branson on Saturday night, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash took place close to 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Fall Creek Road and Shady Drive when a northbound Mazda CX-9 bypassed a stop sign as it turned onto Fall Creek, striking a westbound Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk “nearly head on.”
The Mazda’s driver, 82-year-old Paul Owings of Branson, was transported to Mercy Hospital Springfield with serious injuries.
Four occupants in the Jeep, all from Barnsdale, were transported to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield. The two-year-old male in the vehicle sustained minor injuries, and the other three occupants were all treated for serious injuries.
