News: Pedestrian seriously hurt after crash near Merriam Woods

TANEY COUNTY, MO – A Rockaway Beach woman was seriously injured after being struck by an SUV near Merriam Woods on Monday night.

The MSHP reports that the accident took place close to 8:34 p.m. on US 160 when a Nissan Rouge driven by 28-year-old Sara Dean of Forsyth struck 22-year-old Emily Zeid while she was in the roadway.

Zeid was taken to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield with serious injuries.

Dean’s vehicle was moderately damaged, and she was reportedly uninjured.
