News: Rear-end collision with tractor trailer injures driver in Jasper County
JASPER COUNTY, MO – A Joplin woman was injured after crashing into a tractor trailer near Sarcoxie on Wednesday.
The MSHP reports the accident occurred just after noon on Interstate 44 when a westbound Ford Fusion driven by 23-year-old Madison Andrew rear ended a Freightliner Cascadia driven by 37-year-old Salvador Cortez of Vernal, Utah.
Andrew was hospitalized at Mercy McCune Brooks Hospital where she was treated for moderate injuries. She had reportedly been wearing her seatbelt.
Cortez was uninjured in the accident.
