News: Pickup truck overturns after mechanical issue, injuring one in Bates County
BATES COUNTY, MO – An Olathe man was hurt after a vehicle malfunction led to his pickup truck going off the road and overturning in Bates County Thursday morning.
According to the MSHP, the incident took place at 5:14 a.m. on I-49 when a Ford Ranger driven by Gueillermo Jacobo-Gallegas, 49, had an unidentified mechanical problem. The vehicle went over the median before eventually rolling over.
Jacobo-Gallegas was taken to Bates County Memorial Hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries.
The report indicates that he was wearing his safety belt.
