News: Two teenagers hospitalized when speeding truck rear-ends tractor in Johnson County

JOHNSON COUNTY, MO – A crash involving a pickup and a tractor hospitalized three people including two teenagers in Johnson County Monday night, reports the MSHP.

The crash occurred close to 9:45 p.m. on the 700 block of Highway Z when a southbound Ford F-350 driven by 65-year-old Albert Fike of Holden came upon a southbound John Deere tractor at a high rate of speed and rear-ended the vehicle.

Fike was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center with serious injuries.

The unnamed male occupants of the tractor were the 15-year-old driver and 13-year-old passenger. Both were taken to Children’s Mercy Hospital. The passenger sustained serious injuries and the driver was moderately injured.
