News: Driver critically injured after rear-end crash on I-670

KANSAS CITY, KS – A crash on Interstate 670 critically injured the driver of a pickup truck on Saturday afternoon.

KMBC reports that the accident took place close to 12:30 p.m. in the area near Oak Street when a westbound Ford F250 struck the rear of a Chevrolet Cruz while travelling at a high rate of speed.

The Ford continued on to collide with the median and overturn.

The driver of the Ford was hospitalized in critical condition. They are reported to be in stable condition at the time of this writing.

No other injures are reported in the incident, which is still under investigation.
