News: Crash kills pedestrian on MO 291

INDEPENDENCE, MO – A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed on Thursday night, reports KSHB.

The accident took place close to 9:30 p.m. in the area of Missouri Highway 291 and U.S. 24 Highway when a vehicle travelling south struck a pedestrian who was in the roadway.

The unidentified male pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver remained to cooperate with responders and investigators.
