News: Semi-truck rollover injures one driver in Buchanan County

BUCHANAN COUNTY, MO – The driver of a Peterbilt truck was seriously hurt in a crash while trying to avoid another collision in Buchanan County on Thursday.

Northwest Mo Info reports that the accident took place close to 1 p.m. in the southbound lane of Interstate 29 when 31-year-old Kevin R. Owens attempted to avoid hitting a that stopped suddenly in his lane by turning his Peterbilt to the right, going off the roadway.

The truck struck a median and overturned. Owens was transported to Mosaic Life Care with serious injuries.

Another driver shortly after also drove their semi truck off the road while avoiding collision.

No other injuries are reported in the accident.
