News: Two children hurt in rollover crash in Holt County

HOLT COUNTY, MO – Three people including two young children were hurt on Sunday afternoon when their vehicle crashed and overturned on I-29.

The MSHP reports that the accident occurred at around 2:25 p.m. near mile marker 75.6 on Interstate 29 when an Nissan Murano driven by 59-year-old Debra K. Winters of Omaha went off the road and struck a guardrail before going airborne and striking an embankment.

The vehicle was flipped during the collision, landing on its roof.

Winters and a five-year-old male passenger were both taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph with serious injuries.

Another child in the vehicle, a 4-year-old girl, suffered minor injuries and was released to her parents.
