BARRY COUNTY, MO – A motorcyclist was seriously hurt after being struck by a vehicle in Barry County near Exeter on Monday night, according to the MSHP.

The accident occurred at almost 7:10 p.m. on Missouri 76 when a Dong Fang Motorcycle driven by 57-year-old David R. Bennet of Exeter pulled into the path of a Ford F-150 and was struck, ejecting Bennett from the vehicle.

The driver of the Ford had no reported injuries.

There are many factors that make motorcycle accidents some of the most dangerous types of accidents on the road. Lower visibility, less protection, and smaller relative size are just a few of the reasons why motorcycle accidents can be so traumatic.
