News: Pedestrian killed after exiting vehicle on I-70 in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO – A pedestrian was struck by multiple vehicles and killed after they exited their vehicle on Interstate 70, reports the Kansas City Star.

The crash occurred close to 3 a.m. on I-70 near I-435 when the driver of a Kia Sorento pulled their vehicle onto the right shoulder for a sick passenger. That passenger exited the vehicle and was hit by at least two vehicles.

The first vehicle continued on from the crash and is being sought by police. A Buick Enclave that hit the pedestrian stopped and cooperated with responders.
