News: Rollover crash in the East Side kills one, injures three others

KANSAS CITY, MO – One person was killed and three people were seriously hurt after a rollover crash in Kansas City on Saturday night.

The Kansas City Star reports the accident occurred close to 7:15 p.m. on Interstate 70 near the 31st Street ramp when a Jeep Grand Cherokee swerved across several lanes of traffic before the driver lost control. The Jeep left the roadway, overturning multiple times and continuing on to strike a tree.

A total of four people were hospitalized following the crash. The driver was in critical condition and one passenger sustained life-threatening injuries. Two other adult passengers were hospitalized with injuries as well.

A three-month-old infant in the vehicle was taken to the hospital despite not being visibly injured.
