News: Independence woman killed in rear-end collision with disabled truck near Macon
MACON, MO – A 71-year-old woman died after crashing her SUV into the rear of a semi-trailer near Macon.
KTTN reports that the accident took place on Highway 36 where a driver struck the rear of a Freightliner tractor-trailer that was stopped on the highway.
The car’s driver has been identified as Mary Kliethermes of Independence. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
