News: Head-on collision kills one teen, injures two others in Pettis County

NEWLAND, MO – A head-on collision killed one teenaged and injured two others on Monday morning in Newland.

FOX 4 KC reports that the accident occurred around 6 a.m. on Route O in Pettis County when a southbound Mitsubishi Lancer drifted across into oncoming traffic and struck a Dodge Dakota.

The fatality victim was the 17-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi. A 9-year-old in that vehicle suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.

The driver of the Dodge was hospitalized with minor injuries.
