News: SUV Rollover injures four in Lafayette County

LAFAYETTE COUNTY, MO – Four people were hurt when a vehicle rolled over while airborne on I-70 in Lafayette County on Tuesday morning.

The MSHP reports that the crash took place close to 6:15 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-70 near mile marker 44.4 when a Toyota 4Runner overcorrected and struck a guardrail. The vehicle then went airborne and overturned.

Four occupants, all from Independence, were hospitalized at Centerpoint Hospital. One victim suffered serious injuries and three others were moderately injured.

The driver of the vehicle was not reportedly injured in the crash.
