News: Two teens killed, two others hospitalized after three-car crash in Holt County
HOLT COUNTY, MO – A three-car pile-up accident killed two teenagers and hospitalized three more in Holt County on Sunday, according to the MSHP.
The accident occurred close to 6:40 p.m. on Interstate 29 near Mound City at the 82 mile marker.
A northbound Kenworth truck struck the rear passenger side of a Honda Coupe in the passing lane, causing the Honda to travel across the median where it was struck by a Subaru Outback heading south.
The Honda continued off the roadway where it struck a ditch and then a tree.
One fatality was a 16-year-old male passenger in the Honda.
A 16-year-old male passenger in the Kenworth was also killed.
The driver of the Honda sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized at Mosaic Life Care.
The driver of the Subaru was hospitalized at Mosaic Life Care and treated for minor injuries.
A 13-year-old male passenger in the Honda had minor injuries, but refused medical treatment.
