News: Man, 59, after colliding with tractor-trailer in Clay County

CLAY COUNTY, MO – A 59-year-old man was hospitalized for serious injuries after he crashed into a tractor-trailer Wednesday. 

The collision happened at I-35, Northwest MoInfo reported. For reasons unknown, the driver of a 2013 Chevy, Jay Einerson, changed lines and hit the back of a 2013 Kenworth tractor-trailer. 

Einerson was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision. 

It is unclear if impairment and alcohol were contributing factors in the crash. 

He was taken to Liberty Hospital, where his condition remains unknown.
