News: One critically injured following hit-and-run collision at East 83rd Street in Kansas City
KANSAS CITY, MO – One was critically injured after a two-vehicle crash at East 83rd Street and Troost Avenue Friday.
The collision happened around 5 pm, FOX 4 KC reported. The driver of a white Dodge Grand Caravan was speeding at a high rate and collided with a black Pontiac.
The driver of the Caravan was trying to avoid the Pontiac but was unsuccessful. The impact caused the driver of the Pontiac to lose control of the vehicle.
The Caravan driver fled the scene on foot. In addition, police are still searching for the driver.
The Pontiac driver was hospitalized for life-threatening injuries. There has been no update on his or her condition.
