News: One hospitalized after hit-and-run crash on East 23rd Street in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO – A pedestrian was critically injured after getting run over by a Ford pickup truck before 7 am Monday. 

The collision occurred at East 23rd Street, The Kansas City Star reported. The pedestrian was wrapped in a blanket and either fell or laid down on the road. 

The person was struck after getting run over by a gray Ford F150. The driver of the truck did not render aid and fled the scene. 

The pedestrian was transported to a hospital and is expected to survive.
