News: Crews respond to accident on I-35 in Winnwood

KANSAS CITY, MO – Commuters in northwest Kansas City were faced with traffic delays following a crash on I-35 this morning.

According to a report by the Missouri DoT, the collision occurred in the southbound lanes of the interstate just before the exit to the Chouteau Trafficway just before 9 a.m.

The total number of vehicles involved in the crash is unclear at this time. Photos from the scene show several vehicles blocking the shoulder including multiple pickup trucks and semi-truck.

Commuters were advised to seek an alternate route as delays persisted throughout Wednesday morning’s rush hour.
