News: Woman, 22, hospitalized after three-vehicle collision near Blue Springs Lake

JACKSON COUNTY, MO – A 22-year-old woman was seriously injured after a three-car crash in Blue Springs Monday. 

The collision occurred before 3:15 p.m. on Highway 40 along Blue Springs Lake, the MSHP Traffic Report revealed. 

For reasons unknown, the driver of a 2017 Subaru Outback hit the back of a 2018 Hyundai Elantra. The impact of the crash caused the driver of the Hyundai to collide with a 2018 Nissan Rogue. 

The driver of the Subaru was identified as Jeal L Karol Thies, 33, of Raytown. The driver of the Nissan was identified as 62-year-old Karin R Budelovich from Kansas City. Both women were unharmed. 

The driver of the Hyundai was identified as Isabella M Bears. 

Bears were hospitalized at Centerpoint Medical Center, where her condition remains unknown.
