News: Two women injured after collision on MO 7 in Cass County

CASS COUNTY, MO – Missouri State Troopers responded to a two-car crash in Garden City before 9:30 a.m. Sunday. 

The collision occurred on MO 7 North along Sycamore Grove Road, according to the MSHP Traffic Report Page. 

The driver of a 2004 Cadillac Escalade wanted to cross MO 7 and collided with the driver’s side of a 2023 Chevrolet Traverse. 

The crash’s impact led the 2023 Chevrolet Traverse to rotate before stopping in lane two. 

The driver of the 2004 Cadillac Escalade was identified as 40-year-old Joshua D Smith. He was unharmed. 

The driver of the 2023 Chevrolet Traverse was also unharmed. Troopers identified her as Megan A Richards. 

The two passengers from the 2023 Chevrolet Traverse were identified as 68-year-old Peggy J Lambert and 70-year-old Margaret M Sorrensen. Both of them were transported to Belton Regional Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.
