News: Man, 65, hospitalized after crash involving tractor-trailer in Cass County

CASS COUNTY, MO – One was seriously injured after a tractor-trailer versus car crash in Belton Sunday afternoon. 

Missouri State Troopers responded to the southbound lanes of Route D after 3:30 p.m., according to the MSHP Traffic Report Page. 

The driver of a 2010 Honda Civic crossed the centerline, which caused him to hit the front left portion of a 2017 Kenworth Tractor Trailer. 

The tractor-trailer driver was identified as Maria C Muniz, 47, of La Seria, Texas. 

Muniz was unharmed. 

The driver of the Honda was identified as 65-year-old Daniel E Sullivan of Raymore, Missouri. 

Sullivan was hospitalized at Research Medical Center, where his condition remains unknown.
