News: Man, 35, hospitalized after getting hit by another driver on US-50 South in Lee’s Summit

LEE’S SUMMIT, MO – Missouri State Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on US-50 South after 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. 

The driver of a 2016 Honda Civic slowed down for traffic, and his car was struck by a driver of a 2013 Toyota Corolla, the MSHP Traffic Report Page showed. Both drivers were traveling north. 

The driver of the Toyota Corolla was identified as 31-year-old Aaron L Caselman. 

Caselman was unharmed. However, the impact of the crash left the driver of the Honda with moderate injuries. 

The Honda driver was identified as 35-year-old Jesus A Nunez-Aylas. 

 Nunez-Aylas was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center. 

It is unclear if Caselman will be facing charges.
