News: One injured in rear-end collision on Highway 470 off-ramp in Lee’s Summit

LEE’S SUMMIT, MO – Missouri State Troopers were called to a rear-end crash along Douglas Street Monday. 

The collision occurred on the Highway 470 off-ramp after 7:30 a.m., according to the MSHP Traffic Report Page. A driver of a 2021 Volkswagen Atlas hit the back of a 2018 Nissan Murano when the driver of the Murano was stopped. 

The driver of the Volkswagen was identified as 28-year-old Madison Loeher of Lee’s Summit. 

Loher was unharmed. However, 50-year-old Shannon Walter, the driver of the Nissan,, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. 

Walter was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital.
