News: Man, 83, injured in I-470 S crash in Lee’s Summit

LEE’S SUMMIT, MO – One was hospitalized following a rear-end collision on the southbound lanes of I-470 Wednesday. 

The crash happened before 8:15 a.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Live Traffic Report Page

The driver of a 2012 Dodge Ram hit the back of a 2014 Cadillac ATS, which caused the Cadillac driver to lose control of his vehicle, travel off course, and hit a guardrail. 

The Dodge driver was spared from injuries. 

The Cadillac driver Robert Phillips, 83, of Lee’s Summit, was taken to Centerpoint Hospital for minor injuries.
